We were looking for a good barbecue experience. We had been to Dave's before and it was pretty good. This time, not so much. My husband ordered the naked ribs. He said they were tasty, but they came covered with sauce, not naked. I wanted to try something a little different. I got the smothered baked potato with chopped pork and bacon. The potato was very overbaked and the pork was sparse. Didn't really have a barbecue flavor to it. So not the best experience this time but we will probably give them another chance someday.

Amazing service, the ribs are to die for, and the chicken is great. Prices are decent, inner restaurant has great decor. Outside at night is really buggy and has tons of spiders but is still relaxing. Overall an amazing dining experience.

The food is wonderful, but Famous Peggy was the best waitress I've ever had. She knew so much about all of the foods and sauces, and the restaurant in general. She was so sweet, and far surpassed any level of service that we have experienced. Thank you Peggy, and thank you to the rest of the staff for great food!

My husband and I have been customers of Famous Dave's for years! We go everyother wknd and spend $50- $150 each time, we loved the place! That is until this year... service has went to hell in a hand basket!!! They are rude and unfriendly making the atmosphere unworthy. We've tried 4-5 times this year and """WE ARE DONE""". 
If you want decent food served by rude people by all means it's the place for you. But if not I'd suggest take out!!

We come to Sandusky every year, and 1 of our favorite stops happens to be Famous Dave's. Every year we are very satisfied, and never disappointed.This year we happen to have brought my mother. It has been her first lake Erie experience as well as her first trip Famous Dave's. She was not disappointed and spoke of bringing her friends back up to experience it themselves.
