We are a home energy efficiency company that started in 2001. We provide custom attic ventilation to 1,000+ homes each year.

Story

Established in 2001, our business provides energy efficient solutions to customers throughout North Carolina, South Carolina and Georgia. We hold general contractor and electrical licenses, and are Building Performance Institute-accredited Seal, Insulate, and Envelope specialists. In addition, we are a RESNET certified HERS rater.

Our services include home energy audits, energy efficient retrofits, blower door tests, custom attic ventilation, solar attic fans, electrical attic fans, gable mounted fans, seal and insulate, radiant barrier, solar sky lights, attic tents, LED and CFL lighting, infrared imaging, combustion safety testing, mechanical efficiency, duct leakage testing, carbon monoxide testing, garage ventilation and many more.

Fan Man gave us an assessment of our heat/a.c. efficiency in relation to the insulation in our home. They then gave us a quote and plan to improve our home's climate. With their professional approach and great prices, we moved quickly to book them for the job we needed most. The very next morning after they completed the job, I noticed a REMARKABLE difference in the quality of the heat in our home. No more chilly spots! We are very impressed with the entire experience. I highly recommend this company!

6/29/17 - Mark from Fan Man (Fan Man Romano) called to apologize for the issue we had on 6/28/17 (see original post below). He said he realizes that situations like mine, where a part malfunctioned (fan motor burnt out), should and would be covered by the lifetime warranty on parts and labor, with no additional "travel" cost for coming out to fix it. 6/28/17 - We had 'Fan Man' of Charlotte install two attic fans about 2.5 years ago. The fans came with a "Lifetime warranty, parts and labor". When the motor of one of the fans burnt out after only 2.5 years, we called 'Fan Man' to come back and replace it under the warranty. After the workers finished replacing the motor, they told me there was a $50 fee for coming out. I informed them of the "Lifetime warranty, parts and labor" as clearly stated on the contract. They put me on the phone with Mark Romano, the owner/president. After a somewhat heated conversation, during which I informed Mr. Romano we had a legally binding, written warranty, he told me he changed his company name due to a Workers Compensation lawsuit (now Fan Man Romano) and he didn't have to honor our original 'Fan Man' warranty agreement. He then told me I was "acting like a tough guy and (that) this conversation was over" and hung up the phone.

Highly recommend the Fan Man Inc. I got 3 quotes last week for attic fans. Fan Man was a little more expensive on a per fan basis, but they use GAF fans with a lifetime warranty on parts and labor. All others were 1 yr on labor and 10 yrs on the motor. Jeff did the analysis and quote. He was on time, very professional and knowledgeable of his product and application. Alex and a partner came for the installation. (electrician and roofer) They were on time, very professional and cleaned up at the end of the job. Very well done Fan Man!

These guys were great! They showed up on time and brought more than enough crew members to finish the work efficiently. They went above and beyond what was asked of them, and their pricing was fair. Furthermore, they were extremely professional and friendly. They tolerated us walking around them while they were working, and were even considerate of the noise level while the baby was sleeping!!! I worked with Jeff on the sales side and I talked with Brandon on the crew. Would recommend these guys to anyone!

Would recommend them to anyone. Communication was prompt and everything was done on the day they committed to. The guys even pointed out a couple issues in my attic and took care of them for free, even cleaned out gutters while looking st something on the roof while waiting on another coworker. Very positive experience and again would recommend them to anyone else.
