Fanny's has been family owned and operated for over 25 years. Generations working together to serve the community with great food and excellent service.
Grandma Fanny reared her family of seven children in Arkansas. She picked cotton in the hot sun and cooked for hungry loggers who spent their days chopping trees and sending the timber down the Mississippi River.
In the 1940s and '50s she owned restaurants in California, and all her children worked with her in the family business. In the 1960s they moved to Darrington, WA and continued the family tradition of cooking, serving and working together.
Fanny's daughter Pat Shrout named her Marysville restaurant in her mother's honor in 1991. Pat's children have continued the proud tradition of serving the community with great food, excellent service and a generous spirit.
Many of the recipes served by the Shrout family at Fanny's today have been passed down through the generations. As the family grew and their obligations changed, the restaurant's hours were shortened to accommodate customers for breakfast and lunch.
The friendly folks at Fanny's know their success is based on the family reputation for great food, along with the relationships they continue to develop and nurture within the community.
We're glad to welcome new friends and returning customers. Thank you for helping us keep Grandma Fanny's spirit alive.
