Bought a Flexsteel recliner, a sofa and a chair and ottoman. Immediately noticed lumps on the arm of the recliner. Called the store, and was told that I would hear from Mr. Cash for repair but it might take some time for him to call. He called a week later came out and said he needed to order some new padding for the arm. That was almost a year ago. I have called the store many times since and I have been told that they would "light a fire" under Mr. Cash. I purposely wanted to “buy local” and American. I waited almost six months after ordering just to get the furniture and have been trying to get the service I assumed would be excellent with a local company for almost a year now. I am now forced to post my first ever negative review of a business/product. I will never recommend Filacheck's. Makes me very sad as I had such high hopes for buying local.
Bought 2 Flex Steel reclining couches about 2-3 years. After 1 yr - one couch seat started to squeak. Called the store, said the couch was out of factory warranty, but would have their 3rd party repair person contact us to stop out. It took weeks of calling back to prod for the 3rd party person to contact us... eventually came out and ran screws into the frame and left. now after another year - another couch seat squeaks, along with two ends/arms that are very loose and wobble. Called the store, promptly was reminded the life-time warranty fine-print doesn’t cover these issues - was told their new 3rd party repair person would contact us. its been another week - no contact, called store, same conversations as previously... running in circles. and still waiting. We purposely wanted to “buy local” vs bigger-box stores... And told the owner that when we bought.. But the post purchase service has been challenged, at best, with little or no management on the part of this local furn. store. And, we are very disappointed with what appears to be the sub-standard quality in these two flex steel couches. Will not but another Flex steel product, ever again. Sadly, we feel the same toward this local store.
