Having moved to the area recently, I can firmly say that this is an AWESOME library with a superb selection, nothing like anything I've seen anywhere else.

Nice Library friendly staff but bad WiFi. If the wifi was better it would definitely be five star

Long story short: If you need to quickly run in and out for a book, the library is fine. However, if you're looking for a quiet place to study, don't bother. There are plenty of other adequate libraries in Rockland County that have quiet areas. The third floor of this library is a joke. It's supposed to be where people can study but people are always on the phone (including employees) and doors are always slamming. There's an office by the CD racks and the gentleman in that office loudly talks on the phone with his door open. Also, the CD racks are the noisiest contraptions I've ever seen. The second floor study pods are also a joke. They're not completely closed in, so you can still hear everything lol. Again, don't bother to come here if you're looking for quiet.

Bunch of self serving cranky old ladies!! Not nice or cool the way they treat the customers!

I don't even know where to start (i rewrote this 3 times). At this exact moment I'm staring at a sign that says no sex and no drugs allowed in the library, sitting next to a guy who stinks of weed and is having a loud conversation on his phone about having to come to the library to make WiFi calls because "they didn't add money on the account and fu**ing t mobile is messing with his s**t " (exact wording). Ive been coming here for the past 4 months when i don't have anywhere else to study because this kind of stuff happens alot here. Finkelstein library is more of a safe-haven or meetup for the homeless than a library. Every time i come here i there is someone who is sleeping and loudly snoring, listening to their loud rap music, or having loud conversations. and the security here is completely useless and extremely rude. The only thing they know how to do is kick people out at closing time but other than that completely useless. Don't come here your better off across the street at subway. And and for those looking to have se* and do drugs you can do so once every 90 days. This place is a joke.
