This restaurant is at best, mediocre. It was essentially empty when we arrived at 7 and never got busy, which was not a good sign. Aside from the calamari, which was excellent, our meals were just ok and not worth what they cost. Our waitress was very pleasant and I give her 5 stars for working hard, which raised my overall rating from 2.5 to 3. We decided to eat at Finn & Porter based on the good reviews, but we found it disappointing and do not recommend it for dinner.

Staff friendly and attentive! Food excellent. We had surf n turf, crab cake sandwich, salmon burger, scallop salad all very good! Was pleasantly surprised!

Even with all the great dinner choices at this place I ended up trying to fish and chips anyway it was really good. I also had the breakfast buffet here and it was also very good.

Wow, the service is crazy bad. This supposed to be a restaurant in a hotel, so I expected a great service. The waitress that served us was rushing us and was very rude. I am writing this review before I even left the restaurant.

Sysco-style food competently prepared with utility service, but with premium prices. Like many hotel restaurants, the food is ok with ok service, leaving one feeling like one should have eaten at McDonald's. Finn & Porter at the Hilton Alexandria Mark Center, was no different. I had deviled eggs that supposedly had horseradish in the filling, topped with bland bacon. The bison burger was lacking seasoning or the taste of bison, not cooked rare as requested, and with tasteless sauteed onions; the french fries were ok. The service, while pleasant, was inattentive. I had a Yuengling and a seltzer with lime, for both of which I had to wait. $46 (including tax and 15% gratuity)
