Been going to this store since for over 20 years. Today was the worst experience ever. Took my daughter and her bird to have the birds wings clipped the bird got loose. And then flew around the store. Which? Can happen to anybody. That wasn't the problem. Although there is a door that should have been closed. But they told me they didn't close it because the ceiling is open. The problem was there was no apology and the owner, a manager, tried to place the blame on the customer. Stating that we should not have brought the bird in a cage and the cage door was too big and that is the reason why the bird escaped. Of course, during the chase. The person who was trying to clip the wings told us the bird was small and hard to handle. Then my daughter, who is 17. Is trying to approach the bird to capture the bird and. The person kept invading their space with. The net instead of allowing my daughter to get her pet. The bird is trained and does go to my daughter on her own. Of course, the bird was panicked and in a new environment surrounded by a lot of people. But eventually, our bird Luna went back to her mommy. I have worked in retail my entire life. And have never not apologized or placed the blame on the customer. For any service. Or incident blaming the door? Was just an excuse. If there had been an apology and then a request or an offer of advice to follow. I would understand. But nothing? The bird was traumatized, my daughter was traumatized and actually. Shedding a tear. Or 2 because she is such a huge animal lover. Honestly, she has several cats, birds, lizards, bunny rabbits, guinea pigs, mice. You get the picture. Unfortunately, they have lost our business.

NEVER take your bird to get their wings clipped here. I took my bird to get her wings clipped here. They took her into the back room. I then went over to the parakeets because I was going to buy Luna a buddy. Most of the birds looked sickly. Then I hear "shut the doors" my bird had escaped her cage while in the supervision of a staff member. After chancing her around with store I finally was able to talk her down and get her to perch on my finger then I scooped her into my hands. The costumers were helpful in directing were the bird flew to. I then transfer Luna back to the women. She clipped her wings. Then she brought the bird out, and starting blaming us because her cage is to big, and aloud her to escape. Then the manager of the store had the nerve to try to sell us a transporting cage. There was no apologize and I was charged. The matter was handle unprofessional and it was very upsetting to the bird. They have good products, and I have been going there since I can remember but the service today was unacceptable. My bird could have died today. I handed her over to the workers because I had trust in the store that they were trained. Accidents happen of course they do, if they simply apologized and took fault then it would have been a completely different situation.

The place is clean and big. I was just browsing, and I noticed that a lot of their fish are sick with ich. I didn't see any dead ones and the tanks seemed clean but they definitely weren't treating the ich. Ich is a parasite that can spread to all the fish in the tank. It'll eventually kill them. They're small white spots on the fish. I thought it was sad to see all those fish sick. It's not hard to treat and they should take better care of the fish. Their birds looked good and their cages seemed clean. Other than that it's a nice environment. Lots of animals for kids to see. Decent prices. Just beware when buying fish.

They are supposed to open at 10 during the week. At 10 after 10 the employees finally show up, but are in no rush to go inside. I finally left because I had somewhere to be. I arranged my morning in order to stop there on my way. If they are that lazy in getting to work on time, how lazy are they in taking care of the poor animals inside the store. I will take my business elsewhere from now.
