If you haven’t gone before check this place out! They have everything for a great entree with plenty of quality meats, sides and sauces. The sous chefs were fast, organized and courteous. Given the crowd the waiting was minimum. I really enjoyed the chicken and seafood selection and appreciated the variety of Asian noodles. Dessert is extra but you can always have a little fruit from the bar instead ha ha.
Not upstairs this is the bar downstairs after 4 it’s happy hour 1/2 the food the bbq peach burger is amazing just amazing also the fries wow I sometimes pass by just for the fries. They also have some drinks 1/2 beer and cocktails but I never had. When you go ask for David he is the best bartender he will help you pick stuff of the menu and he knows his stuff. Also before I forget the sweet chilli wings 3rd best wings I’ve had in boston. If you work in the Berkeley area after work this should be your happy hour hangout
So glad to be back in Boston! I’ve visited this restaurant back in 2018, and fell in love with the concept. Always wanted to come back and finally did on a weekend Boston trip. Came on a Sunday around 2 pm and it cost $22.99 per person. They now have a brunch concept. How it works is, you pick your raw food put it in a bowl, pick your sauces and seasonings and head to the grill. Give your food to the cook and it gets cooked in front of you. It’s a very cool concept and entertaining to watch. The menu is Korean, but they serve pasta, burgers, pancakes, salads and crepes. If you come to Boston definitely worth it to make a stop here and try. Family and friendly atmosphere. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. This is one of my favorite spots in Boston for sure.
We are in Boston with 40 dancers and families for a competition in the Back Bay neighborhood and wanted a place for dinner for the full group. Thanks to great reviews, I lucked into Fire-Ice due to its range of options and ability to handle random allergies and preferences. It was perfect. Everyone had a great time with the amazing food and low noise level allowing great conversation. The service was perfect. Everyone was very nice and did all they could to make our night better than we could’ve hoped for. Dietary restrictions: The variety of options works for a huge range of tastes and requirements. They even have a way to cook in back for allergy concerns such cross contamination.
I'm not even sure if I can find the right words for my family's experience today. First impression was with the staff- super nice, informative and welcoming-- especially our server Dan! Dan was personable , patient and helpful with the perfect amont of humor and even recommended the phenomenal monkey bread for desert! Then the cleanliness of the restaurant and bathrooms were outstanding. The different options we could choose from for lunch was crazy. You could damn near have anything you want- Asian, Italian, comfort foods, deserts, etc. Although I'm not a drinker, I also noticed they have 2 cute bars , one upstairs and one downstairs. The prices were surprisingly good and affordable especially for the amount you are allowed to get. I will 100% be back and tell everyone I know to check this location out. Thanks for bringing smiles to my daughters faces and an overall great lunch experience for my family! Parking: Plenty of parking garages within walking distance, the LAZ one down the street was the cheapest.
We have been to fire and ice many times and specifically this location too. Only for brunch on Sundays though. If you come before 1130 it won't be packed, but it starts getting busy from 1130 onwards and if you have a big party without a reservation you might have to wait, so a reservation if you have more than 3 in your party is recommended. Coming early also makes it so when you go get your stuff to be grilled and when you go to the grill station, it's not packed so you don't have to wait behind other people. After 12, be prepared to wait at all stations.. pancakes, omelettes or lunch ingredients. When you gather your ingredients don't over pack your bowl as you will want to make at least 2 trips, if not 3 and if you put to much you will end up with a lot of food and be too full to try everything else. I tend to stay with a small omelette, then a small pancake which we usually share with my wife and then some stir fry. It's great for the price of brunch but prepare your dishes with your mind, not your stomach :p Overall I really like this place, but they really should something about their restrooms as they don't seem to take good care of them. Other than that, we always enjoy it here.
I had an amazing experience at FiRE+iCE. It was my first time going. Once you have been seated, you can go up to the line to create your own personalized food combination in a bowl. Be careful because you can overflow your bowl quickly as there are so many different pasta, veggies, and protein options to choose from. Before you bring your bowl up to the hibachi table/counter, make sure to stop by the sauce station to select your sauces to complete the flavor profile you are trying to achieve for your dish. There are a lot of sauce options to select from, too. Once at the hibachi counter, the chef will go around to take your bowl creations to cook right in front of you. It's super cool to watch the process. Once your food is cooked, they plate it for you and hand you your creation to go sit at your table and enjoy. If you look at the wall hangings, they also include some recipe option ideas for you to try if you are unsure of what you'd like. Another neat thing is that you can create as many bowls as you would like if you are still hungry! I would highly recommend trying this place if you are in the area and looking for a cool and different dining experience. This would be a perfect first date idea to try too!
First time going and always wanted to try this place out. The lighting was a tad dark and would have been nicer if it was a bit brighter. The food was good with a bunch of different options. There was definitely little bit for everyone. Some of the meats were frozen though which can effect the overall texture of food I find. I was expecting more of a "show" as others say there is when they cook the food but wasn't all the impressed. Definitely had better experiences at hibachi places. Some of the staff gave off an impression that they weren't happy to be there. The menus were a little gross and definitely worn out.
The best way to describe this concept is like a buffet in reverse. You walk up fill your bowl with raw products and bring it to the giant circled grill to be cooked. You walk the line with a bowl and you fill that bowl with any raw ingredients you want. From vegetables to few variety of pasta types. Various Protein choices to choose from steak, different types of marinated chicken, seafood that included salmon, swordfish, tilapia, shrimp, clams and scallops you chose the pieces you want some are cut smaller than others. Sauce bar has various sauces and topping you add in a side bowl. Then you bring up your products where a team of three cooks going circle and cook your meal for you. Once done they place it on the plate and you go back to your table and enjoy. You can go up as many times as you want to get your ingredients and have them cooked. They do have a salad bar as well. The staff did a nice job keeping the counters clean and utensils in the right product. It’s always difficult when you have general public creating cross contamination by not applying common sense with utensils even tho each dish had their own but the staff was on top of it that day. With all that being said we had a great experience. Food was great and service was excellent. Waitress did a nice job explaining the concept to us first timers and was not over the top attentive, was just right. We ordered calamari as appetizer and it was great and fresh. I thought they were reasonably priced and would definitely recommend and visit this restaurant again in the future.
So you go here and it's an all you can eat food place. You pick from a wide range of foods from breakfast to lunch and dinner. They cook it in front of you and serve it to you... Then you go back for more. It is really delicious and also respects dietary restrictions if you tell them. Bath rooms are small. Parking is not bad as there are plenty of park garages around. Great for group setting too and not to expensive.
