Concerning the Firehouse Subs sandwich shop in the Shoppes at New Tampa on Bruce B Downs Boulevard. I'm rating this particular restaurant location at three out of five stars or as average. I feel the sub sandwiches are average at best for the cost and there are certainly better sandwich places to go. The staff is competent and the restaurant is clean.

Awesome subs and always incredible service.  Don't forget to round up your bill to the nearest dollar to help your local firefighters!  Add 12/19/17 - this continues to be one of the best sandwiches around. The owner and staff are awesome. You can not go wrong with this choice.

We normally go for supper but today we stopped in for lunch and there is a marked difference in service and product. Lunch is sloppy, unorganized, and the manager is very off-putting. Service at supper time is efficient, the food is beautifully assembled and presented, and the location is clean. I wouldn't recommend it for lunch but I would absolutely tell you to go for supper (after 7 pm)
