Your technician Gene just left our home. He is a testament to your brand. He did an amazing job cleaning our two fireplaces, found the source of the malfunction, fixed it and explained everything thoroughly. If you don't have more technicians like Gene - you should want them. You have my allegiance as a customer for a long long time. Gene get's 5 Gold stars, I sure hope you recognize his worth to your company.

This is a late review, but much needed. We had the worst customer service experience with this company 1.5-2 years ago. I don't even know where to start. First off, our sales rep did not know what he was doing, nice guy, but did not understand the products he was selling. Several of our estimates were wrote up with "special promotional discounts" that we were told we could use towards our purchase and ended up being not true. Second, we were told that we could "customize" our order so that the depth of the fireplace was as short as possible. When the fireplace arrived it was obvious that we were charged a "special order" price for them to just cut a few inches off the backside of the fireplace. Then the installers noticed that the depth of the "customized" fireplace frame would never ever fit the insert we paid for since it caused the insert to stick out from the front of the fireplace several inches - meaning we could not have that big of an insert in our fireplace frame. Therefore we had to switch to a lower quality, lower powered insert that was far from what we wanted in the first place - the one we were told "would definitely fit" by our sales rep. In addition, the carpet around the fireplace needed to be cut to fit around it - the guy who came to do this did half the job, left and went on vacation for 2 weeks - he left our carpet pulled back with the wood below exposed for those 2 weeks - what a joke. After the fireplace was "finished" some of the pieces around the insert began to "bow out" because of the heat - fireside sent someone to our house to staple one nail into the piece of wood to "fix" the issue - the wood then cracked and this was never fixed. Lastly, the fireplace will turn on ALL BY ITSELF when we are home and when we're not home. Fireside has told us that this is a remote control issue so - 2 weeks after reporting the issue they sent out a "technician" who 1.) asked for a pin when he arrived to our house and 2.) used the pin to press the reset button in the remote and left. This did not solve the problem and we were told by Fireside that the only option was for us to purchase another remote at our own expense - forget it! After thousands of dollars we are so disappointed. We had a terrible experience and we would never ever go back to this company.

Prices were high, but staff were very knowledgeable and friendly.

Hearth and Home will not be getting our business. This is the second time we've visited the store and been completely ignored. When we walked in and there were 3 other customers in there who likely were 20+ years older than us. They were getting star treatment but we didn't even get a hello. Both sales people in the store refused to greet us. We waited at the front desk while the sales guy sat there with his back to us. Because we looked young and maybe less established we apparently weren't worth their time. Please have better customer service and don't age discriminate because you think we won't spend as much as the more mature looking clients at your store.
