Welcoming worshippers through our doors at 508 Union Street, Manchester, NH since 1879! Come stop in and see what we're all about!
The center of our life is Sunday Morning Worship when we gather in a majestic and yet embracing 1879 sanctuary. The rare stained glass windows, the soaring ceiling and robust music declare our tradition, and yet our life together is marked by warm community, casual liturgy, integration of all generations, community outreach and homegrown artistic endeavors.
We respect the right and responsibility of individuals to make their own decisions about faith and practice. We preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ but welcome everyone.
We have a membership of 575 members, although 1,000 people call us their church. Many in Manchester look to our church to be an engaged servant to the city. Active in interfaith work, we seek to be a worthy and faithful neighbor in our rapidly changing city.
We preserve the best of the Christian traditions with liveliness, humor, respect and hope.
Our Mission Statement:
“It is the mission of the First Congregational Church to become a worshipping community of faithful, participating Christians, to reach out to all people, to invite them to engage with the Bible, unite with us through the power of the Gospel, and share, one and all, in the work of this Church in the Spirit of Jesus Christ.”
