Our philosophy has always been simple, “Pizza, Pasta, Ambiance”. From our family to yours, we welcome you to the First & Last Tavern of Middletown.

Story

Founded in 1936, First & Last Tavern has been serving authentic Italian fare to the crowds for generations. We opened the doors to our Middletown location in April 2000. We feature award winning brick oven pizza, pasta, seafood and much more.

I am very impressed with this place. Recently used their banquet services to host a party in the Middlesex Room with around 30 guests. The room was a perfect space. Food and service were both beyond my expectations. Excellent pizza. The banquet manager Clark worked with me every step of the way to make sure we were ready to go. Price was determined ahead of time, and the cheap beer and wine made the open bar far cheaper than I expected. I would definitely have another party here.

A great spot. The First & Last in Middletown CT does a great job setting itself apart from other locations. The lounge area is fun w/ great service. Families love the atmosphere in the dining room as well as the food, attentive service & menu prices. A First choice for my banquet as well.

Due to a reservstions error we barged in as a party of 9 at 11am on a Sunday morning. Mel and her staff couldn't be more accomodating. We had wonderful service and great food! This is how a business should be run! We will certainly be back!!

Must be new owners!! The service is very poor and my food came out ice cold and pre-packaged chicken. We ran into friends waiting to be seated with 10 open tables and they waited for 35 minutes before being seated and finally walked out after waiting for waiter to take drink orders. VERY DISSAPOINTED
