my husband and I went in for a quick slice we asked the employee there if the slice of pizza are freshly made she responded with yes it is freshly just made.. ummm it was hard like cardboard taste gross and gave us tummy ache. Never again... negative star..

Had ordered from Empire in the past and was very happy with their party sized pizza with hamburg... lots of meat...pizza was thick. Recently ordered the same thing with bacon added, received a very thin pizza, with tiny crumbled pieces of hamburg..and bacon...couldn't even decipher what the meat was... super thin and no flavor besides the bacon... meat was very sparsely spread and some pieces had nothing on it... was grossly disappointed.. will not ever order from them again.

Food is good but horrible costumer service. The manger is very rude. Will never go here again. Ordered delivery got the wrong delivery called back to order what I actually wanted and was willing to pick it up when the manager got extremely defensive and rude and told me it was my fault that the wrong meal was delivered because she missed heard what I had said on the phone.

All I really order from them is calzones, and they are the best in the Middletown area. I've ordered from portland, Cromwell, middlefield, and a few different places in middletown, but Empire has by far the best Calzones. Always perfectly cooked, loaded with filling, and perfectly golden brown. A little grease/oil is expected when ordering something with bacon and lots of cheese, so no BS complaints about oil/grease here. I havent tried much else from them but they have always delivered when they say they will, and the Calzones are amazing.
