Mission

Our vision is to lead people into a transforming relationship with Jesus and authentic community with one another, as proclaimed in Scripture, so that the city of Miami may flourish and God will be glorified.

We will do this by fulfilling our mission to make wholly-devoted disciples of Jesus who worship, serve, learn, heal, and give.

Core Values
1. Disciple-Making: We believe that Jesus' command to make disciples dominates the center of our mission. This includes making new disciples as well as leading existing disciples into a deeper relationship with God.

2. Biblical Integrity: We believe that the Bible is the unique and authoritative Word of God that teaches all that is necessary for faith and life.

3. Thoughtful Theology: We believe in following our Reformed heritage's emphasis on constant learning and education as a way to maintain faithfulness to God.

4. Egalitarian Ministry: We believe in unleashing the gifts of women and men of every age and ethnic group.

5. Accountable Community: We believe people were made for community and Jesus calls us to walk down the path of discipleship together.

6. Center-Focused Spirituality: We believe that focusing on the center of the Gospel is more important that the boundaries.

7. Kingdom Vitality: We believe we are called to change the world through acts of compassion, evangelism, and justice.

Firstly, I would like to say Thank You (to God, this church, the pastor and the bible study members). I found this church when I was living in Brickell a few years ago. At that time in my life, I hadn't been to a church since I was a teenager.....over 35 years ago, but because I was struggling with something I decided to find a church. I was raised Roman Catholic, but for some reason I gravitated to FMPC. I just bought my first bible and wanted to learn how to read and understand it. Pastor Chris and other church elders led the bible study classes and I was able to ask many questions that were bothering me. I really appreciated Pastor Chris's approachable, relatable personality and the overall delivery of his sermon/messages. It made me understand there was a value to attending a church vs worshiping alone. I moved back to downtown Toronto, Canada (btw it's 8 degrees F today) shortly after joining FMPC, but haven't been able to find the same level of comfort in a church. Today, I was looking up what "type" of church FMPC was so I could try and find it here. I came across the videos of the sermons and just watched the one on Peace in our Hearts in a Q&A format. I have decided to continue to attend FMPC virtually from my living room in TO!!! Please consider video taping the Bible Study classes or making them interactive...at least until the sun starts to shine again and I'm not afraid to go outside and find a local bible study class :-) Thank you!

The Pastor is an amazingly talented speaker! His sermons are captivating and given with tremendous enthusiasm. They are easy to relate to and follow - even for people that are not very religious. Also nice: great location, free parking, and often free cookies and coffee :-)
