A credit union beats a big bank hands down, any day and this is the best credit union in El Paso. The lobby is open until 3pm on Saturdays and when you can get your spare change counted in the machine, you will get back 100% of it in larger bills, as long as you are a member.

Why do people only post when they have a bad day. Then take it out with the experience they had which must likely created because of there attitude to begin with . Firstlight is a great institution with good customer service. I have been with them for yeras.

Always treated with respect and professionalism. Had numerous issues over the years taken care of promptly.

Tried to re-charge me for a closed account from 5 years ago that was paid back then when i applied for a car loan. Refused to look into it because according to them i should have paperwork from 5 years ago on an old account. They do not have any records at all of that old account. Very unprofessional when helping me.

This isn't the greatest bank. In fact, if you're looking for a credit union I highly recommend either GECU or NFCU... I don't understand why anyone with options would bank here, myself included. The bank and their services seem primitive compared to other banks, and they have a tiny fraction of locations in very large city, I mean even Evolve has more locations than them. Yes, there's shared banking, but the reps here don't readily educate you on your options. I had an issue wit them today and spoke to two extremely rude female representatives (you know who you are). They could have resolved my issue, but of course they're warped into thinking customer service doesn't extend itself more than it has to. I strongly feel that being nasty when they can gratifies some of these people. In all fairness I have spoken to good reps who have provided me the service I feel any member should be entitled to (like crediting absurd fees), but for the most part a lot of these people are not great to deal with. I can see this bank having a lot of issues in the future. They would benefit from being more like Charles Schwab or Capital One, which is exactly where I'm going. Don't bank here, move on.
