Ive been taking my Grandson age 5 to Calvert Village for 2 years, and before that my kids all young adults. When we first started going to Calvert Village it had the on its way out of business dollar theater feel about it. Its gotten cleaner, new movies, and then a total face lift. The recliners are great what an improvement now its has the "first run movies theater" feel. Great Job guys, my Grandson is going to be a movie junkie right along with the rest of the family! Since the above post we have made the "Flagship" our regular movie place. Starting outside the theater its clean and safe. None of the cutting in line entitled to do so mentality, foul language, and attitudes you encounter in other places. Everyone waits their turn and the lines move quickly. The people are really friendly and the prices for movies and snacks are very competitive. Inside the theater the seats are equal to the red leather at the mall. All in all it's a great place to spend a couple hours lost in a story. After one afternoon movie with my Grandson I thought I left my cell behind. I went back and one young lady searched the theater and took down contact info in case my cell turned up, this was great service after the fact and after they had my money. With the quality of the experience, and the family atmosphere there is no reason to burn gas and time going out of town for a movie. My only gripe is "Star Wars" was gone before I could see it. PLEASE bring it back for a second run....please! Thanks guys.

Had the best time there. They have the awesome recliner chairs. And employees there are very very nice and helpful.

How many of you remember the old movie theater with the broken seats, faded screens, and cash only purchases. I do, and I am happy to write that this establishment is no longer here. The newly renovated movie theater has given the customers exactly what they wanted with large reclining seats, a clean atmosphere, and reserved seating options. I actually enjoy going to this move theater above anywhere else. My significant other and I bring our blankets and sneak in food all the time without any problems. I’ve never been a huge popcorn guy, because of the kernels, so I suggest stooping at Safeway to pick up some snacks before you enter. The bathrooms are clean and the lobby supports a beautiful décor that is welcoming and stylish. The staff always seems helpful and I have never really heard of any complaints. Overall, I give this place 5 stars, because this movie theater has made Calvert County great again!

It is great that this theatre installed reclining seats but the screen we watched Black Panther on had a huge stain which was very distracting. The picture was a bit fuzzy as well. Why not go ahead and upgrade the projectors .& fix the screens?

We go to this theater quite often now that they have reserved seating. The new chairs are very comfortable and spacious. Overall, the renovations are very nice and kept clean. Ticket prices are some of the cheapest in the area and we have rarely encountered issues with getting tickets for hit movies. The only reason I did not give 5 stars is because they could use new screens. However, the improvements they have made since switching to Flagship have been much appreciated, and they have earned our loyalty. In fact, many local patrons don't realize that they now offer loyalty cards that offer free movies and free snacks based on how much you spend there. If you go there a lot, the loyalty card is definitely worth having.
