I went like last year and i asked the lady at the attendance office because i need to give a note for my little brother since my mom was feeling ill and so i went. I told them hi i have a note for a student. She goes "wait theres other people in line" like almost yelling. There was litterally no one there except me other parents and a kid who had to leave because he almost barfed but didnt let him go. I said ok fine. I waited 45 minutes. Soon another lady was like yea may i help you. I was alittle mad and said i was waiting litterally almost a hour and now yall notice me. She said oh sorry there were so many people. (The 2 ladies and another one from the office right next to them were litterally like "And so i told Karen that she was pregnant she said no but was out of..." And so on. They litterally dont want to be there and i swear i arrived at 12:30 left at 2 staying there complaining and the kid who almost barfed was still there. I feel bad for the kid.

Everything is amazing at this school so far !! All my teachers are nice and respectful to me and my classmates! Mr.Peak is an nice person who will greet me everyday by the gate, The lady who works at the office maybe a little strict sometimes but everything else is amazing !

Today was my daughter first day and Iam so pleased with the staff there when I say the staff I mean the whole team.... there nice they made sure my baby girl got to class... I really like this school....

My review is not of the school but the representatives I met at the "Meet the Magnet Schools" night in Carson September 28, 2017. Most of the booths me, my wife and daughter visited didn't seem to be very enthusiastic with our presents. Not a good first impression in my opinion. That seems to be the culture of Los Angeles in general. So that said, I am always looking for the opposite of that what I consider a poor representation of anyone or any institution. Out of the seven schools represented at this event, only four made any effort to.....well, any effort at all. We were also impressed with how Dodson, Wilmington and Glenn Hammon Curtiss but we are leaning towards Fleming and Dodson for overall location and programing.

The teachers you will have will have to depend on your academic skills. If you want nice, respectful teachers, you would have to be a gifted student, which will get you them. If you are a lousy student, you will get lousy teachers. However, the counselors are not very serious, and there is one counselor that does their job and cares about you, otherwise the other counselors don't care about you. They seriously care about eighth graders. They are very overrated. The eighth graders are given many privileges that the seventh or sixth grader wont be able to have. One of the downfalls of the school is that you cannot choose your elective. It is randomly given to you unless you have applied for an interesting elective. There is a great use of technology, and no, there is not as many fights as you would come to expect. This year, there has been about less than 10 fights, that i've heard of. They really stress education. They should have better extra curricular activities. Drumline is great, but the instructor is leaving after this school year. I'm telling you right now, you want to do great in your classes, or you are not gonna get the teacher you want. I give credit to all of the counselors that they place people in the correct classes. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE MIDDLE SCHOOL AS A JOKE.
