I am disabled and this school is not very ADA accepting! I get no extended time, the Adaptive Service's case managers are not helpful. Some teachers are super nice and fun to have while others suck. This school is a waste of time and money! They don't teach you anything of quality for your major! For example, there's a class called 'Video Game Design' you would think they would teach you how to make a game, well the teacher doesn't! Its a slack off school! It's not a real school in my opinion since I learned nothing from here. I have enough credits to graduate but I am not allowed to graduate. I am so upset with this school! ***Oh! Fair warning! The Registrar or Financial Aid will add on payments for stuff you never even purchased! Happened four times already in the pas year I've been attending!

(Paying for my sister to attend. Came for orientation). The campus is huge. Super clean. Their power runs off from solar panels and they recycle everything. Not to mention the school spirit here is A1. As far as the important school stuff, the staff was super helpful with everything. Had no problem turning things in last minute and they processed paperwork right then and there! You definitely get what you pay for...you feel me!

Advising offices are wonderful, and super helpful. In comparison to UCF, they really do a great job at that. My academic advisor, Christina Jordan, has always searched for the best option for me. Academics is where they are lacking, and unfortunately to FGCU, that is the main reason people attend college. I attended one of the first transfer orientations of the semester to enroll, and classes were already filled up. It showed me that they lack having a certain amount of classes in ratio to the students they admit. This lead to a very disorganized, and frustrating semester, having to drop my courses and leaving me at stage 1 as a transient student at a community college. During my research, there is a very slim variety of professors if any, which leaves to having no choice to take a terrible professor who hates their life and students. Many of the professors I researched towards science majors had terrible reviews, which is discouraging. My Chemistry professor assigned long homework assignments without even having an official first class. It wasn't a syllabus quiz, but specific Chemistry knowledge which was graded. It made me question why I even joined a class to learn about a topic, when the professor was already assuming he did not have to do his job to teach. I am not paying tuition to read a book and teach myself necessarily. I can do that for free. Socially, there were significantly more events going on than a community college, but I did not witness a lot of variety. The majority of people I saw around seemed to be a copy of each other, and there wasn't a lot of racial/cultural diversity. I like diverse environments, so this may just be a personal observation than anything else.

I graduated from FGCU with a degree in Computer Information Systems. The time I spent at FGCU was the best time of my life and I felt I didn’t miss out on anything even though it is a smaller school without a football team. #DunkCity

Unique campus style in Florida flat-woods setting. Lots of wildlife on campus to be seen while walking to class. Sustainability measures guide the growth model.
