Flying Fish Public Market & Grill is Myrtle Beach’s most unique waterfront dining experience, featuring local seafood, Lowcountry favorites and a raw bar with a variety of shellfish and sushi. Inspired by the Pearlz Oyster Bar concept and Seattle’s Pike’s Place Public Market, Flying Fish is part-restaurant, part seafood market. Great Host, Server, Service!

The host seated us & our server (Amanda) was at our table to give us draft specifics & daily specials within a minute. 

We chose what we wanted & moved on to appetizers. 
My son had hush puppies...5+ (he loved them!)
We all shared fried pickles..(3.5)

Main Courses...
Fried Chicken Sandwich w/pimento cheese... can't remember what it was called. He got Green Beans & Fries 5+

Salmon Special grilled w/Cajun spice, mashed potatoes, corn on the cob. 5+

Shrimp & Grits 4.5

Overall this was a great experience & our server was amazing. 
We were dropping our son off in North Myrtle Beach & he had to wait on a friend for a bit.  Flying Fish was gracious enough to hang onto his suitcase for a couple hours while he was waiting on his ride. 

We'll be back!

Shrimp was star of the show. Hit happy hour and order 3 helpings of the buffalo shrimp. Wife had the shrimp platter and it too was awesome. I had the snapper and it was ok. Tasted like chicken to be honest so I guess that's good. Was the high end of our budget but if it's just us would do again.

The waiter was great, he gets five stars. The place was modern. The overall service was great. The bathrooms: 3 toilets, 1 clean. Soap dripped on the counter. Paper towels everywhere. Not clean enough for the prices on the menu. I expect that from McDonald's, not from an "upscale" restaurant. The food platters were small for the price. Better off getting the fish and cooking it yourself. I left disappointed :(

We were here this morning with a group of six. The food was great, and our service was great. Scallops, jambalaya, fresh trout, crab, crab, and more crab.

Given our crab orders and how it's hard to eat it all before it gets cold, we ordered two orders to split, and asked for one to be delayed. Tori, our server, was attentive and nailed the timing. It was the difference between an excellent meal and an exceptional one, and I just wanted to say so.

Great place for seafood. They have a really nice bar area but ou can get a nice view of the water as well. Great selection of drinks and local spirits. I really liked the locally caught options on the menu.
