The customer service at this store is terrible and I will never go back because of it. I picked Footwise because it seems like a local company (all the stores listed on their website are in Oregon) and I like supporting local businesses. I was planning on purchasing my first pair of Birkenstocks for for work (I'm a nurse) and had some questions about how they should fit, I asked about the "soft footbed" that is described online, but I guess I was just bothering the sales woman, because all I got was attitude from her. All of her answers were one or two words and given with a tone that I was wasting her time. I could have so easily walked out of the store and the sale could have been lost, but liked the shoes. Those of us who work in healthcare want quality, comfortable shoes that we can wear our whole shift, which this store carries, but I would never recommend this store. In fact, I have made it a point of telling my coworkers and friends to NOT go here for shoes because of the terrible service.

Good friendly service. None of the shoes we wanted were in stock but they offered to ship for free to our home. Well worth the drive from Olympia.

I purchased a pair of boots less than a year ago, for 300 dollars, at the Broadway store, but the leather uppers degraded over the course of one winter. I took them back to get them replaced, and the sales associate, Katie S, refused to do more than offer a discount on a new purchase. She also indicated that the wearer was at fault for wearing them excessively, and in snow and ice. She suggested we buy a boot that is more appropriate for winter use. Looking around the store at new boots, I failed to see any mention of whether or not these boots were similarly unsuitable for winter wear. I guess we should just know that some boots are for wearing, and some are for show. We evidently bought the wrong boot. I am not pleased with this attitude, or the faulty product. I think this store should consider whether or not they want to keep a loyal customer base that is supportive of local businesses. Obviously, we are no longer supportive of this business, as they do not care to remedy the problem in a fair and justifiable manner.
