I love this store, if you have not been there, it is well worth the trip! Definitely a five star rating from me! Great selections, quality shoes, they also have purses, jewelry, hats and many other things you need! Staff is great and very helpful and knowledgeable!

I've been a customer at Imelda's since 2005. I love their top quality product: beautiful shoes with an edge for both women and men, creative jewelry selection, purses, socks, scarves - everything! Staff is always attentive and available to help make sure that I find the best style and fit. Highly recommend!

Wonder staff and great collection of shoes and accessories. I always visit when I'm in Portland. Defentily worth stopping by! The selection is very unique and the staff know their product. Great job guys!

I used to love this place, they have amazing shoes that are generally good quality. The reason for two stars is that the store's culture seems to have changed and the customer service is now terrible. The last few times I went there it has not been busy at all, and both times I was ignored by the sales associates while wealthier looking customers were immediately attended to. I may not have expensive clothes but I spend money on good quality shoes.Taking my business elsewhere.

Update: 01/28/2018 Thank you Shane for the response. This is not a matter of guaranteeing the comfort of a shoe, more this is a matter of management standing behind the direction of the Imelda's employees. You are correct, I did come into to get sized after receiving these unworn boots as a gift - I made no mention of the boot feeling "too big", only wanting to ensure they where the correct fit. At this point I was sized down and told the boots would stretch after wearing them for a few weeks. I did what I was instructed to do, wear the boots. Consequently, these boots are worn and as you say, "un-returnable". I'm 100% positive if I was not persuaded to get a size smaller and had been properly fitted, I would be in love with these boots. It is a shame that you're not doing right by your customers. In business these things happen and it is so easy to remedy the situation. We are a family of Blundstone wearers. This was my first pair of the chisel toe style; I was sized down from a 9 to 8.5 (on their recommendation.) Louie's said they would stretch after wearing them. I called the store letting them know the recommendation of sizing down was wrong and the boot was too small. "There's nothing we can do," I was told. Really unhappy that my boots now sit by the door, unwearable because of a recommendation by the store. Louie's should stand by their employees and exchange my boots. Of course they are worn, as that is what I was instructed to do - wear them until they stretch and are comfortable. But they are not comfortable. I should have been sized correctly and I should have been able to exchange my boots. Super disappointing Louie's, after hearing for years how great my feet would feel in a pair of these boots.
