Sometimes you're surprised when you stop at a place you get something you weren't expecting. Here you get exactly what it looks like one star keep driving don't make the mistake like we did.

Great food and service. Plenty of room, not too busy on an early Friday evening. Apps were cheap but good: cheese balls, o-rings, pickle chips, and mini corn dogs. Fried loin was thick, well seasoned and delicious. Philly steak and cheese had a lot of flavor, served on grilled Texas toast. Booths a little rough, but got the job done. If we're near Eddyville again, we'd come back.

It's typical American food, burgers, fries, etc. The service at Ford's is much faster than Dave's Welcome Inn (the only other sit down restaurant in Eddyville, IA).

Hostile service, slow to boot.... Food is good but not enough to balance it out

They seem to have only two people working, It took a little tome but they had a great pork tenderloin. very nice.Would say it is a place to stop even if it is a little out of the way.
