We have automatic mutual aid agreements with both Central Taney County Fire District and Western Taney County Fire District for assistance.
We try to keep our community safe by promoting fire prevention campaigns throughout the year with programs like smoke detectors, extinguisher training and our new arrival, Sparky, to protect our community’s most valuable resource – our kids.
As of January 1st, 2010, our ISO rating is 4 for most areas of town. We respond to approximately 300 calls for service per year. About 80% of those are medical emergencies.
Our average volunteer puts in 20 hrs per month in training and other duties. We actively recruit for volunteers to serve as Firefighters, Explorers or member of our Auxiliary.
We strive to make our community a safe and secure place for the visitors and residents of the City of Forsyth.
Through professionalism, dedication, integrity and training the Forsyth Fire Department will work to safeguard the lives and property for its citizens. This will be accomplished by providing a vast range of emergency services, strong public relations and fire safety education. We endeavor to protect and preserve the health of our membership and ensure Everyone Goes Home safely to their families.
