For those of you that are new to our page. Here are some abbreviations that we use:

Please Note: The following abbreviations are used to provide quick information. Providing detailed information can be difficult. The use of abbreviations is necessary in order to provide you with the most information. To ensure no information is lost or misunderstood, this will explain the most commonly used abbr...eviations we use with our facebook account.

*Incidents* in *asterisks* (These are active incidents) We are either enroute to, on scene, or have been dispatched to the incident.

Agency Abbreviations:

SSCFPD = Southern Stone County Fire Protection District.

WTCFPD = Western Taney County Fire Protection District.

BFD = Branson Fire Department.

CCFPD = Central Crossing Fire Protection District.

NSNEBC = Nothern Stone North East Berry County

SCSO = Stone County Sherriffs Office

TCAD = Taney County Ambulance District

MSHP = Missouri State Highway Patrol

EMS = Emergency Medical Service (Ambulance)

Staff Abbreviations:

600 = Duty Chief
601 = Fire Chief
602 = Assistant Chief
603 = Deputy Chief
604 = Battalion Chief
605 = Battalion Chief
606 = Battalion Chief
607 = EMS Cordinator
608 = Chaplin
609 = Chaplin
610 = Fire Marshal
611 = Fire Inspector
612 = Public Information Officer
620 = Mechanic
621 = Staff Vehicle

Other Abbreviations:

E/R = En-Route

O/S = On-Scene

LZ = Landing Zone

UTL = Unable to locate

DOA = Dead On Arrival

JEO, JWO, JNO, JSO = Just East, West, North, South Of

IC = Incident Command

CP = Command Post

PRC = Patient Refused Care

MVC = Motor Vehicle Collision

Pt. = Patient

ROS = Rate of Spread

SFD = Single Family Dwelling

SS-SFD = Single Story – Single Family Dwelling

SAR = Search And Rescue

FF = Fire Fighter

FF's = Fire Fighters

RP = Reporting Party

To promote life safety and reduce human suffering to the citizens and visitors of the Southern Stone County Fire Protection District. To achieve this goal through public education and fire prevention programs. We shall seek to minimize the results of fire, medical or rescue emergencies and disasters in this District. To understand that each fire fighter is valuable and to maximize each persons potential. To serve our District with professionalism, excellence and devotion to duty. To strive for the future, never forgetting the past.
