A museum of homestead buildings, fun for the entire family. Open from late May to mid-Sep, Thurs. thru Sun. and holidays, 11AM to 5PM
A collection of original buildings from the early 1900s homestead era in Fort Rock Valley. Tour six homes, a 1-room country schoolhouse, doctor's office, church, general store, and blacksmith shop. Men like the horse-drawn farming implements and old gas pumps. Women like the primitive kitchens and vegetable garden. Young kids like the old chuckwagon and school. Everybody likes to explore the nooks and crannies of these simple homes, church, and school built before electricity arrived here in eastern Oregon's desert.
We're also a source of information about other things to see and do in the area.
