Every person is valuable to God and His Kingdom. Because people are eternal, they are valuable to God and to us. Loving evangelism will always be our cause and ongoing discipline will always be at the core of Foster Street.
The most effective evangelism happens through people inviting people to Jesus. We believe that a life can reach a life. Each believer needs to develop real relationships with friends and family. Evangelism becomes a normal, natural way of living.
Every member is a minister who has been given gifts to be discovered, developed and deployed. We believe that every believer is created for ministry. Each believer needs to discover their spiritual gifts and serve with joy and passion.
Every member should commit to a lifestyle of consistent spiritual growth with people encouraging them. A love for God is supreme. Every believer should "hunger and thirst" for spiritual growth. Therefore, discipleship, accountablility and the "one anothers" is critical to maturing in our faith.
God deserves our best. Therefore a growing mindset of excellence and relevance should permeate every activity. Not perfection, but excellence with a constant evaluation and willingness to imrove what we do for the sake of the kingdom and the society that we live in.
In identifying and training emerging leaders who are fully committed to Christ and who will reach their generation with the Gospel. god is raising up men and women who will pass the baton of Godly character, and servant-hearted leadership into the next generation. We will do this through small groups, extensive leadership development and church planting.
