Dr. Frank did my cervical fusion in 2004, it was C3-4-5 and it was to alleviate constant headaches from discs bulging into the spinal cord and nerve pressure.  The surgery was a major success for me, it got rid of the unbeatable headaches and have not had one since.  I also see Dr. Frank for my lower back problems, but since I have moved out of the area, he is still my go to Doctor for a second opinion even though I live in Ohio.  He is the only Doctor I trust when it comes to my back or neck.  He has an amazing bedside manor, and is extremely knowledgeable.

Dr. Frank Clay performed a c5/6 neck fusion on me to great success. After years of neck and back pain, 95% of it was gone a few weeks after the surgery. My surgery was in 2010. 7 years later my neck is still doing great and no pain.

I had a fusion done to my S1 - L4 and it was the biggest mistake i ever done. Since my surgery a year ago I'm on oxycoton medication and have had multiple injections and still can't hardly get out of bed some days. His assistant "Nick" is a total ass $%#@ and think he's gods gift to medicine. He once told me the day after my surgery when i was in excusating pain that i would have to deal with it and if i couldn't then he would send me to a nursing home. I was in so much pain i found out weeks later the the screws that were put in my back didnt not fuse properly and that i would have to live with it for the rest of my life. I'm 53 and feel as if I'm 90 and can hardly move 85% of the time day in and day out. I'd be careful with doing a fusion and would never recommend it to my worse enemy. My quality of life is gone and my never be able to go back to work! I've had to file for social security benefits due to my fusion. Don't do it...find alternative ways to treat your back issues. More than 50% of back surgeries end up like me! Don't believe what your told...your risking your life!!!

I found out months later that my screws in my back did not fuse properly and that they can't be taken out and that i would have to deal with the pain for the rest of my life. And, that my herniated disk is still bulging and was not fixed properly. It's a very high risk surgery and I've had multiple injections to release the pain and nothing works. It sucks because I'll never be the same and my quality of life as been destroyed. I trust them and they care more about the money than helping me!
