West Hartford is not lacking great places to have pizza. It says a lot about the local pizza places when you give this one four stars. The pizzas are good, with thin crusts, but they tend to have been a little bit crispy when we've gone. Most of the toppings taste very fresh, the pizzas come out fairly quickly, and the service is good. This is mostly a pizza lovers restaurant, so don't expect tons of other options when you come here.

West Hartford location has never disappointed visit after visit. Kids split a classic cheese and we split the mushroom, gorgonzola and spinach. I've yet to find a proper description for what has to be the best pizza crust ever baked. Although not the biggest fan of white pizza, the Spinach/Mush/Gorg combo was fantastic. Great flavor and baked to perfection.

It's Pepe's, but it's not New Haven Pepe's. There is a difference, but having gone only once and not new Haven recently, the one that sticks out the most is the severe lack of a char on the crust, bottom and top. Still a great pie, but if you're a tourist and after the best pie in the country, take the extra time to go to Wooster St

We finally got around to trying Frank Pepe's pizza in West Hartford and were not disappointed. The crust coming from the wood oven was perfectly done, both crispy and chewy and not a bit greasy, with a hint of smokiness. The sauce on the half sausage/ half pepperoni was excellent  and the meat was delicious and plentiful. The white pizza with spinach, gorgonzola and mushrooms was one of the best I've had. Service was also great.
