I had been a good customer of this salon for over a year but will never go back. They destroyed my hair and refused to discuss it with me telling me I was wrong and that she couldn t do anything about it. I was very clear about my feelings flat out saying I hate it . They then had the nerve to charge me over 400$. I am more than willing to pay top notch for my hair but I m paying for quality and service. I received neither. It takes gall to charge that much and let someone leave near tears. Either fix it or don t charge me. This was certainly not the way an upscale salon would operate. My hair is ruined and I am looking for a new salon. I have never posted a review about anything but I want to warn other women! I called and complained to the manager who completely missed the point. To charge that much make sure the customer leaves happy. Had they offered to fix it on the spot or at my convenience I never would have complained and would have continued to be a patron. If there were a review worse than poor i would give it!!!!!

I hadn't gotten a real cut or color in over six months. Since moving to the Dallas area two years ago, I have received some pretty bad haircuts. It didn't matter if I paid $12 or $100, I still got a bad cut. It took me a long time to select a salon that I thought I would be able to trust. Let me just say that I received a manicure, color, and cut at Frederic Fekkai in Dallas today and I couldn't be more pleased! Not only were the staff friendly (but not phony friendly), they also knew what they were doing. For my manicure, I had Joe Flores.....he was magnificent! It was well worth it! I have natural nails and will not let anyone touch my nails usually, but I will go back to Joe for sure! Hands are his business!! For color, I had Rachael Gatenby. She is a lovely girl who knows her color! She did a perfect deep brown, not too dark, not too light! When my color was done, I moved to Grace who shampooed and massaged my scalp, which was awesome, I thank you guys! And for the part that made me the most nervous, my haircut. For that, I had Derek Sansone. He assessed my profile while I was standing and immediately spotted areas where I knew needed help. I felt confident from the moment I sat down that he would do an excellent job! I absolutely love it!! I highly recommend this salon who has now earned my business despite being pricey. I consider excellent service by the reception staff, perfect nails, precise color, and the best haircut I have had in two years to be well worth the price!

Where to start....First let me say.. I HAVE NEVER CRIED OVER HAIR! I am just not that type of person . I have had to take a couple of weeks to absorb how horrible of an experience I had at Frederic Fekkai. I went to Fekkai because I was new to Texas and assumed that if I paid the money they must be excellent. I went to Brian - who opened the salon and was very pleased with what he did. Fast Forward a year and Brian has left the salon and I start going to Erin. She convinces me I need to go Dark Brown due to the hair loss and breakage from giving birth... As a blond - I was ready to get my hair to a healthy place and I commited to being a brunette for 4 months. After 4 months, I walk in, ready to go back to blond and Erin ( who never said that It would be a gradual process to go back to blond) States with the snottiest attitude .. "I can't do that". After going back and forth with her , I break it down for her and say "all I am asking is to be able to walk out of the salon and be described as a dark blond not a brunette" .. "I am not looking to go platinum". The conversation goes on for only 10 minutes.. my appt. was at 2:30 and at 2:40 she exclaims.. "I don't have time to do your hair now. You have to come back." I am in shock and in tears because I have never been spoken to with such hostility. I should have walked out -but I was going out in 4 hours and I have to get my hair done... I look at Erin and say - "You knew what color hair I had and that I wanted to go back to blond... and you allocated 45 minutes for my hair?"...."That makes no sense".. So they have Rachel ( who was $50 more expensive, which they didn't tell me until I went up to pay) try and come in and save the day. Rachel was a LOVELY person and if you still decide to go to Fekkai then stay as far away from Erin as you can and go to Rachel. In the end - I walked out of the salon a brunette and in tears and paid $330 for the experience. Heads up Erin.. If you are turning a blond to a brunette... A.) warn your client that they can not go straight back to blond and that it is a gradual process before you convince them to go brown. B.) If your client comes in to the salon 2 months after going Brunette and is at that time desperate to go back to being a blond... don't convince her to stay brunette... start the gradual process then. What Rachel did on my hair could have been done in January to start the blond process it would not have ruined my hair. C.) And finally last tip ..Remember - you are in the service industry - Your people skills are really lacking and you need to take some lessons. You are a hairdresser from Oklahoma.. Just because you are working for a upscale salon doesn't mean you can treat your customers with so much disrespect. By - the way - if they follow-up with this post and say my hair was damaged and it would have fallen out - they are absolutely lying and can post the pictures from December to prove it. They have lost a valuable customer in me and hopefully this review will dissuade future customers from entering their salon.

I have had the opportunity to get my hair done in locations such as Newbury Street in Boston to NYC, and I have to admit that this place was one of my best experiences. I arrived 20 minutes early, and was greated by both managers, one of which gave me a tour. My appointment was with Derek, who gave me a great haircut. I can't wait to go back for my color with Erin in 2 weeks and pedi with Joey! Thank you Frederic Fekkai Dallas!
