Great find! We simply googled great restaurants as we were leaving NOLA to go back to Houston. It is set on the waterfront only about 2 miles off of I-10. Our waiter was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and delivered quickly. I lived in FL for 5 years and have had alligator numerous times but never as a sausage. I highly recommend it! I plan to return next time on the way to New Orleans.

A really nice place for burgers, steaks and seafood with decent prices and more than enough portions. The restaurant is built high on pilings so you can see over the water both inside the restaurant and on the wraparound porch. There’s a room at one end where there’s a bar and bands play. It’s off the beaten path so don’t think it isn’t there. Reservations are preferred but not required when less busy. The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 was because there was a wedding reception being held in the restaurant and there was no way to walk around it to get to the bathrooms. Otherwise, definitely worth the trip.

Food was beyond excellent. Lots of food for the price. Excellent staff. We were there on a freezing cold night near closing time but they didn't rush us to leave. Better than some of the "famous" restaurants in New Orleans. Would go back if in the area.

My husband and I came to Louisiana for our anniversary and happened to stumble across this restaurant. The waitress was very very kind and offered what she thought would be best for us to try and the food did not disappoint at all! They have nice portions and the food is well seasoned. When I return in July 2018, I will be stopping by for another bowl of gumbo and a fried chicken sandwich..lol

Service was slow. Total time there was about 1 hr 45 minutes. After 35 minutes we finally was told the waitress forgot to put our appetizer in. Was brought out finally. I ordered omelette. Eggs were over cooked, otherwise it was fine. Wife ordered the shrimp. It was horrible. Tasted old and way undercooked. Water/Tea tasted like it was made from salt water. Waitress K. Fung came back after we told her about it, asked if we were from Louisiana and said the shrimp tasted fine but had a funny after taste. I thought that was rude and uncalled for. Wouldn’t ever recommend this place. Red lobster is a better choice.
