Fantastic work performed. Jose is highly knowledgeable in about every situation dor assistance. Alex is also a smart and highly attentive guy to customers. They took my block for my Jeep, performed a beautiful bore and hone job. They also rebuilt my head and milled it appropriately. I HIGHLY recommend them from anything to an oil change to a full engine rebuild. I only needed machining service, as I rebuilt the engine myself.

I've been a customer at G & R for a couple years. I buy inexpensive used cars, so I have to spend some on repairs. I used to get all my advise on cars from my dad, but when I moved to LA I was on my own. I was definitely nervous about getting ripped off by mechanics in such a big city.  Luis, the owner at G&R, has always been upfront, communicative, and honest with me. I like to do some work on my own, so Luis was willing to diagnose my problems and send me on my way when the repair was something I could handle. That is a testament to his honesty. Recently, I needed engine work done. Another shop told me I needed work on the piston rings and they needed to pull the engine out to work on it. They quoted me $1800. I took the car to G&R and they did their own testing on my engine. They said the problem was less severe, just leaking exhaust valves in the engine head. This was a less expensive repair, about half the cost of the other quote. My car is working great now and the check engine light isn't coming back on! Luis and his mechanics know what they're doing; I'm really thankful they diagnosed the problem correctly and only did the work that needed to be done! I would highly recommend G&R!
