I have rented a property for 3 years and some of the people that Gaffney Realty are the best people I have talked to and had business with. They have work with me on my maintenance issues but there are times that I had trouble getting contact with them and get them to come in and fix the issue. Once I do have them in the apartment, maintenance has done an incredible job to fix the issues and also go over and beyond by fixing my closets and putting shelves that I didn't eve ask for. There are couple of people I have dealt with that was very rude when I started first renting but I could always address my issue with someone else if I do not want to talk to with that person. I haven't had best experience for me as renting my first apartment by myself with my child but it has been improved. When I first moved in, there were issues with the apartment but I just hang in there and made it mine and addressed it to Gaffney Realty. But over the years as I pay my rent on time I never had an issue except for maintenance. But they have improved over time of how quick the maintenance can come and fix the issue. If you are renting for the first time, it would be a good place to start because they will work with you. I moved out from the apartment last month because I have a new home. Thank you Gaffney Realty for taking my business for three years.

SCAM.  Required me to pay $50 ‘application fee’ for each person moving in (2 people - $100 total) before we could even VIEW the property.  Then notified me several days later that the tenant ‘decided to stay’ so we were never given a chance to even view the rental nor were we reimbursed.  Basically, an easy way for them to make money off of unsuspecting potential renters.  Interestingly, the property is still up on their website. Very unethical. Will advise colleagues to steer clear of this realty and report them to the Better Business Bureau.

I have never been so humiliated in my life. I found a house for rent that is publicly advertise on zumper through Gaffney realty. I went to look at the house and check the neighborhood out for safety reasons. We all want to feel safe where we live especially with children. The owner of the house on green briar Dr. Who lives down the street called the cops on me and said that it was a suspicious car in the driveway. Two cop cars pulled up on me l never got out my van. I could have been shot because of the way she addressed the phone call. I had to prove to the police that I was sent an email regarding that I was interested in this house and that it was on the market for rent. When I asked the officer to ask her was she aware that her house was on the market she replied yes. I was given no apology or anything. It was just that I'm not welcome because the color of my skin. I'm so hurt and I will never step foot back in Gaffney again. The lady that called the cops clearly said she was the owner. Then for you to get on her and lie and say you tried to reach out to me is bogus. Today is Saturday May 5th 3:03 pm you just sent me a text at 9:40 this morning. When l came to look at the house it was broad daylight on yesterday may the 4th between 1:30 - 2:00 l have proof of that. Why in God's name would l go look at a house late at night. I was racially profiled and you know it. If you sent me a text at 9:40 this morning and it's just 3:03 you never gave me time to even contact you back. Your statement is bogus. You basically trying to make me out to be something I'm not because the color of my skin. Who sees a house on the market and don't check to make sure the neighborhood is kid friendly and safe like any good mother would.

This is an awful company....do not apply...before you can look at any property they make you pay an application fee....I just happened to ride by the property and someone was there making repairs....so I went in looked at the property and completed an application along with the application fee.  The company, if you call them, state that they have so many applicants that they usually correspond via email and chat. Because not only does the application ask you for paystubs but it also asks for you to submit all of your banking information.  I mean actually copies of your bank statements.  This is unheard of.  Paystubs yes...bank account information..NO.  So I played around with the extensions and reached Gloria's voicemail.  I left a message stating I was interested in the property and had completed an application along with the application fee but felt uneasy including all of my financial banking information.  Within 24 hours a gentleman by the name of Larry returns my call and assures me this is their normal procedure and that all information is secure.  Against my better mind and that of family I submitted my financial statements. Not only did I meet all financial requirements per my paystubs but I met all requirements per my financial accounts balance.  Once they received this information in less than 24 hours they sent me an email telling me that they regret to inform me but I could not acquire the property.  This was very disappointing as I had just gave them full access to all of my personal banking information.  This did not sit well with me.  Of course I then did some further investigating....I completed my application on April 7th.  I spoke with Larry on April 11th....I sent all of my personal banking information on April 11th....I was regretfully informed by April 12th.  I now know the property has been rented on April 3rd.  The property is still to this day available on their website.

Needless to say I am closing my current bank accounts for fear of them accessing my funds.  If this company would allow you to submit and pay an application fee for a property that is no longer available they are capable of any MISDEEDS!!!

DO NOT TRUST THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

HOME OWNERS WHO USE THEIR SERVICES NEED TO BE MORE ALERT AS TO THE TYPE OF COMPANY THEY ARE DOING BUSINESS WITH...THIS IS NOT A REPUTABLE COMPANY...STAY AWAY!!!!
