Go visit the courthouse. There is a museum in the building. It is free and there are items going back to the civil war era. This is a great place to visit.

While looking up the telephone number of the Courthouse, I noticed some negative reviews, which prompted this review. We relocated to Galveston two years ago so have had many occasions to visit the Courthouse. Everyone has been very professional and helpful and we have found the wait time to be reasonable. This review is based on personal visits.

Dont even waste time trying to call, they put you on hold, then hang up on you.
