Professional and compassionate. Lovely room, beautiful urn, and helpful staff. Wonderful assistance for my Mom. She didn't have to worry about a thing. All the items flowers, cards, and a lovely gift basket from Gardners were loaded into her car. Our director, Nick, took care of us all moving to St. Joseph's Cemetery. He saw to any little need. They all worked to make what was a painful day, much better.
Gardner's funeral home were wonderful to work with. They helped us put together a funeral for my father in in a matter of days. They were so kind and gave us a beautiful send off worthy of my wonderful Dad.

The Gardners FH management are fast on taking your money but very slow or not apologizing when they make mistakes..Their apologies should be as large as their ego’s they hold .." I apologize."..is not in their vocabulary...what a phony operation. If the service had to be done all over again it will not be here, now knowing their fake personalities..they are your best friend when you are paying them but ignore you when they realize they are at fault! 1 star is also too high for a Gardners rating!
Funeral planning is not something I have much experience with. The whole Gardner team was absolutely wonderful, they made everything easy. They provided guidance and thought of every detail. The services went perfectly and I am so grateful for their kind, compassionate and outstanding quality of care. They made my family feel like their own!!!
My family and I have unfortunately done a good bit of business here in the past 9 months. Three funerals in under a year is hard on anyone, but Gardner has made it as easy as they could for us. Nick has handled all three of the funerals for my grandmother, my father and my aunt and he has been an absolute gem. Kind, warm and patient, the offer was even made to my mother to bring my father's ashes back and they would help her put some in her locket. In the unfortunate circumstance of having a loved one pass, I would absolutely recommend this funeral home. They're truly second to none.
Gardner always did right for our family until Debbie passed, she passed in December 2020, we had the viewing and arrangements done by Gardner. Debbie was cremated. The burial was arranged by Gardner, they had the permit and vault, so I did not think I had to tell them to make sure you bring the vault. We had her burial at St. Joes on September 29, 2021 after ceremony when I asked to see the vault there was a green covering over the hole I was told "what vault you did not purchase one". I have the papers you signed. But, we do have a vault at Gardner I will go and get it. I said I had a copy of the paperwork also, I asked my son to take me home for my paperwork. He did and when we returned he was there with the vault, I was there with my paperwork. So if you are planning a Funeral with them and a burial at a later date make sure they bring the vault.
Gardner Funeral Home and their wonderful staff make the most difficult times in one's life bearable. They are full of compassion & professionalism guiding one through the funeral process. I know this because they helped me and my family immensely when Iost my parents within 3 months of each other. They also make it very easy for family members and friends to post their condolences to the grieving family. My family was treated with kindness and respect during the most difficult time. The experience dealing with the funeral director, Bill, at the Runnemede NJ location was exceptional. He was kind, patient, accommodating, and extremely helpful. He made decision-making easy and comfortable. No pressure or attitude. I highly recommend Gardner Funeral Home in Runnemede NJ.
