At first we were very impressed with the business as the salesman seemed to be really knowledgeable about decks and the company with many personal reviews but that was all just part of the Pitch. We should have known when their original quote (which was supposedly marked way down) came in at a sky rocket high price. I get it though because a salesman has to make money and we negotiated it down. But then the plan he laid out for us did not happen like he said. First we got a credit card in the mail and when we called them in response they just said it was the financing and there wouldn't be the 27% interest the card held with it. Lie #1 because we were told it would be in house financing and $47 not a credit card where a majority of that is interest! Second we were told before anything starts a manager would come by for a second inspection once the permits were acquired just to make sure everything was good and give us a time frame. No one showed up or called. That is until we were on vacation and they call and say "we are going to start your deck today, the lumber has arrived". We told them a big fat no, which they fought us on. It was so unprofessional and Lie#2 because no one warned us so we could make plans around it or even be aware when they would start a project. Third, we knew that the salesman had told us that they would give us the lien when it was finished just to make sure everything was good but when we finally got the deck in and inspected it, it looked as though they hurried through and just left so many odds and ends. Lie #3 as we were told the deck guys just do decks and they were great at it-not the case, it was rushed and we had to have them come back and fix several issues. Then lastly, when we finally agreed to sign, which they rushed us into after getting the repairs, we asked for our copy and it took 4+ days to respond from the project manager. Overall it was a terrible experience and I would never recommend this company to anyone.

So far so bad. Their "office" is vacant. Per the paperwork to get my deposit back I had to send a certified letter to the "office" within 3 days of contract. I did it within 2. I sent the certified letter to get my deposit back on the 9th and just now got the confirmation that it was received on the 26th. I am waiting. I should have known when the sales rep offered me a $4000.00 discount if I wrote them a check that evening. My second clue that they were shady was that they do their financing through Syncrony, which is another reason I canceled the transaction. After I had time to read all of the fine print, I followed their own instructions to get my deposit back and still have not received it. Trust your gut. Don't trust the BBB website, that's where I got the referal from. Shame on me. Christine Ownby
