Story

One of the anchors of the Myrtle Beach oceanfront, the Gay Dolphin has delighted generations of customers since 1946. Located between Mr. Joe White Avenue and 9th Avenue North, just south of Plyler Park on the oceanfront. 35,000 square feet spread over ten levels. Not just a gift shop, but a shopping experience.

Nice little shop for anything you would want as a souvenir. First went there in 1997 where my wife and I bought our first Christmas ornament. A sand dollar with a painted scene that plays the wedding march. I noticed the neighbourhood is a little rougher than what I remembered but hey hindsight is always rosie.

This is an eclectic Myrtle Beach piece of history. It's been there for decades!  Its a must visit for just about everyone who vacations on town, and even locals go too.. so many different things you cannot list.. from sharks teeth to a statue of Elvis to a framed photo of Jack Nicholson blowing a smoke ring, to live hermit crabs...and the list goes on and on.....

Great selection of gift items home decor,  collectibles, jewelry and lot more. Just do a visit and you won't regret to have a look of the items. Prices are good until few items you are particular as it carries a big range of variety. The entrance is very small compared to the size of the store but you will get what you are looking for.

Always love stopping here! Mostly because it is rooted so deeply into my childhood. It has not changed. Also, there are literally million of souviners to choose from. It's right on the boardwalk and they have everything. Prices are very reasonable and it's a cool multi level building. If you've never been it's a cool novelty place and if you have been it's an awesome trip down memory lane.
