Mission

Collaboration of your input and Nikki's creative vision, talents and design senses places Gel Salon “a cut above” other salons. Nikki's design esthetic tends toward clean lines and modern shapes. A technical cutter, Nikki prefers strong shapes in her haircuts so, they simply fall into place with little to no effort. Add some colour to the shape and you will be uniquely stunning by this master colourist.

This was by far the best hair experience I have ever had. Starting the moment I walked in the door, I was given a warm welcome and cheerful smile by the manager, who was ready to help me with anything I may need.  This is the second time Noelle has cut my hair, giving me an "edgy bob" as she called it. She is a perfectionist with my hair which is something you don't always find. Noelle examines every angle to make sure the cut looks perfect no matter how you wear it. She takes pride in every cut, which is not something you always see (but definitely something you want in someone who is creating your "look" for the next few weeks!) I highly recommend Gel for its use of top product, it's chic appearance, and its highly professional and welcoming staff!

It's a great hair day! Thanks to my stylist/owner at Gel Salon, Nikki!  Another great cut and highlight/low light color today!
A few years ago my stylist retired....every woman's worst nightmare.  What to do?  You ask a friend whose hair you admire, only my friend with the awesome hair style had a trendy short haircut and really REALLY bold color.  Not for me..but then I decided to give her stylist, Nikki a try. I'm so glad I did!  I've been going to Gel ever since.  Nilkki knows what I like and gets the color right for me every time. Great service too from Rachel at the desk and all the staff at Gel! I totally recommend giving Gel a try next time you are in between stylists..or just still looking for the right one!

I have had nothing but the best service from Nikki at Gel Salon.  She is a talented and experienced stylist who also does a great job with coloring.  I regularly get compliments about my hair, which I believe is because Nikki gives me a cut personalized for the structure of my face plus the type of my hair.  She considers my wishes for length, listens to what I would like with color, makes recommendations as necessary, and the results are spot on every time.  I highly recommend Gel Salon.

LOCKS OF LOVE GUIDELINES FOR ACCEPTABLE DONATIONS:
Layered hair is acceptable if the longest layer is 10 inches.
Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails.

This is the reply from Gel Salon to BBB. 

They are heartless people and they lie.  I went there because I saw the ad and it touched my heart  to donate 10 inches to Lock of love.  The owner is a cancer survivor but she is a heartless.

1)The stylist SOFIYA used a ruler and measured 10 inches before she cut my hair.  So what does it mean by " The style was a bit shorter to accommodate the more important length required by Locks of Love"???

2)The requirement said: "Layered hair may be divided into multiple ponytails". The stylist did not do ANY ponytails and let all the hair fall on the ground. Later she gathered all the hair from the floor randomly to tie them in both ends.

3)  the client took the hair home? Yes, it is because the stylist and the receptionist both did not offer free mailing.  

4) I spoke to locks of love twice and confirmed that the hair is unable to use it, doesn't meet the requirement. I did mention that I need to cut with someone who has done this procedure before

5) I refused to go back to this salon for any reason because I lost my trust.  

6) They did not refund the money and I did not get my services.  The only service I want is to donate 10 inches.  I am very upset to lose my 10 inches for nothing.

7) The stylist Sofiya can't cut the picture that I showed.  It is completely opposite. What kind of stylist can't cut the hair as two pictures shown.

 "I DO NOT RECOMMEND GOING TO THIS SALON" !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to be a customer of Sofiya long before she started working at Gel Salon in Cary. Since I used to go back all the time, it attests to the quality of her work. But this review is rather about the work she has done for my wife. My wife is always satisfied when she returns back from her haircut/color appointment, and if she likes, I do too, of course. Also, Sofiya is such a nice person, so it always fun chatting with her. I highly recommend her. And, BTW, the salon itself looks very professional and is always very clean.
