I love Genealogy!  Their staff is friendly and super helpful.  In response to the review below concerning the bathroom /dressing room for males, I have been in the store when the manager nicely asked men to not be in the dressing rooms while the girls were dressing and changing. It is always to respect the privacy of the girls and to protect their modesty as the staff is always helping to zip and unzip the dresses. It made me feel more comfortable and I’m glad they have this policy.

Every time I walk into genealogy I am greeted by the nicest staff in Charleston! These ladies go out of their way to help you in finding the perfect dresses for any occasion. Definitely will be returning soon!

Yes I went and I bought a beautiful dress that I love, but my experience was not good at all. I walked in and I looked for dresses I was taken back to a dressing room. I had brought my Dad with me because well it’s my Dad I knew he would want to see me in my dress and I brought my boyfriend because I knew he would want to see me in all the dresses. In brining them I felt as if I was almost less important, it was almost like because I had 2 men with me i felt I was rushed to find a dress faster. Not only that but my boyfriend wasn’t allowed to use the restroom because to get their he had to walk though the dressing area. Like if you are going to not allow men into the dressing rook at least make a restroom accessible. All in all bad experience and felt unwelcome will definitely NOT be giving them any of my money.

The formal dresses in this store are STUNNING. The staff is so friendly and tries their best to make you feel welcome and comfortable. Amazing experience every time I visit!
