Genesee Valley Park is one of the most well known parks in the city of Rochester. It has well maintained tennis courts, a public swimming pool which is heavily attended in the summer, 3 baseball fields and plenty of running, riding or walking trails. The firefighter training facility is on one of the trails and sometimes you can catch them practicing putting out fires. There's also picnic areas with tables and grills. The playground was rebuilt in the fall of 2017 and went from two separate playgrounds to one. There is a medium sized building with male and female bathrooms that can be rented out for small events. The building hosts a day camp in the summer.

Beautiful park. I really enjoy walking around here on the weekends. It isn't in the best of areas, so be sure to be aware of your surroundings. Plenty of parking, even during major cross country events. The entrances can be hard to notice from a car.

Beautiful space full of things to do outside. Kayak and paddle boat rental, bike trails, bird watching, baseball and soccer fields, grills for picnics, two playgrounds, and a collection of bridges reflecting the changing style of park construction are a few of the features in the park. Frederick Olmsted designed the park and it's walkability has been well preserved. Walking along the river and exploring the wooded areas are my favorite things to do. For the explorers I suggest finding the old railroad bridge. The park features 5 pedestrian bridges and two more with cars allowed, a long tour is crossing all 7 bridges. Amazing pictures to be had. There have been Blue Herons on the river for the last few months.

Nice park, it's pretty open. It's usually a bit busy though. It's a good place to take a dog. If you're going for a walk there's some trails nearby.

A beautiful old city park along the Genesee River with a scenic golf course, outdoor Olympic size swimming pool, indoor ice rink, marina where you can rent boats, pavilions and picnic space and long beautiful walking paths trough the large park along the river. The park is located between the University of Rochester River Campus and the intersection of the Erie Canal and the Genesee River. Grab a picnic basket, golf clubs, life jackets and enjoy Rochester's Genesee Valley Park!!!
