Story

George Martin the Original, a Rockville Centre mainstay, opened in 1989. An American Bistro, George Martin offers a wide variety of steaks, chops, seafood and house specialties, as well as fresh salads and pasta. A recipient of numerous awards and accolades from The New York Times and Newsday, George Martin continues to reach new levels of quality and service. Join us for lunch Monday – Friday from 12:00 to 3 pm and seven nights a week for dinner beginning at 5 pm. Lunch and dinner are available at the bar or simply enjoy a cocktail and an appetizer.

Made my reservation at the tavern down the street by mistake . Sarah was very kind to fix the problem and seat us immediately. Bread is amazing. Had the grilled salmon was cooked perfectly. The guys had steaks one a special that was a hanger other a skirt both said was very good. Salad app with goat cheese was enough to share and not swimming in dressing very fresh! Will definitely return . Little pricey but at least everything was very good including the service!! 😊😊

Is this a restaurant or a private club? First, the salmon was good as was the breads and the waitress was friendly. But I felt as I waited at the bar as if the place was only for regulars. Everyone got a bowl of snacks but me and the bartender was attentive to all but myself. I'm all in favor of local places, but isn't it good for business to make someone knew feel welcome?

Wow very good food and service. I had the pork jaigermeister although a lot of oil for me and it seems to be the way when I get a fried any cutlet, anyplace the food was so good. I also had muscles for an appetizer I couldn't stop soaking up the sauce with their delicious bread.

The food here is amazing! I come here all the time. I'm also a Chef as well. The service here is good as well. Make your Reservation, Sarah the manager is amazing. Pete my waitier was a great guy..
