i went to Gerken's Bike Shop to have my brakes adjusted. I have gone there several times to have my tire fixed and I always have a good experience. They asked about the bike and how it was riding and I decided to just have the brakes adjusted. They did an excellent job. My brakes are now awesome and they also tightened my gears and made sure the tires were in good shape. The service is great and efficient and done in a timely manner. I recommend them for your bike service.

The young person behind the counter really seemed to not want to help me. We had a mechanical failure on a bike and were stuck not being able to ride the bike back. We needed to have him help us out with any means to get us back on the road again. He looked at the bike and basically said he won't have the part. I asked him to help me by just shortening the chain and eliminate the derailleur, to help us get back to home. His excuse was that it is against his policy to that. This is something I have done many times before in emergencies. So we were stuck without tools and he was not offering any solution and not even attempting. This is not the friendly neighborhood shop that I was hoping to find.If I had only a chain splitter and a pair of pliers I would have been riding home. Thanks dude!

Brought my fixed gear in to get put together not even a hour went by and bike is broken in a way that has never happened in the 15 years I've had this bike. Also Was given no receipt
