I've been going to Gigi Salon for a couple of years now. My sister, who also has been a long time client, recommended this salon and specifically hair stylist Kristina. Let me tell you...Kristina is the BEST! After a bad experience which pretty much resulted in fried blonde hair 😔, Kristina fixed me right up. My hair has never looked as healthy and beautiful as it does now. Expect great service and friendly staff when walking into this salon.

If you have curly or wavy hair Hope is the best!!!
I have tried many hair stylist since the last time I got a good hair cut, it was about 10 years ago at the Beehive when it was still on Lorimer, Bean was the best but than she had babies and moved upstate. Since then I tried many different places, some better than others but yesterday was the first time in 10 years that I got really good hair cut. Hope managed to keep the length and give me great volium. Huge success.

I called ahead and asked if they had Aveda Demi color.  They said they did.  Upon arrival, I consulted with Dragan and I showed him the color formula and type of color CLEARLY written out by my previous stylist.  He said they call it toner and it would never cover my grey.  I explained that the aveda Demi color did this great for my hair.  He did not believe me and just kept saying that “toner” would not do this.  I was unhappy with how it looked so messaged my previous stylist who said Aveda Toner and Aveda Demi color are NOT the same thing.  Dragan and I also agreed on taking 1-2 inches off of my hair.  I had explained that my hair has a narrow window of length that makes its curl easy to deal with.  He said he would err on the side of shorter.  He took at least 4 inches off.  He said “it looks much healthier now because it is dry”.  I hate it when stylists do this without your consent.  It took me a long time to grow out my hair and I liked it for the first time in many years.  Now I will have to take a long time to grow it back out.  I am beyond frustrated.  My hair is not damaged, just dry.  There was no need to chop off this much and even if there was, get permission!!!!!!
