Ok I'm going to give this business the benefit of the doubt for now and see what happens in the future.  Had them come out for a "leak under master bath" that home inspector had found.  Guys did come from Ft. Mill to Rock Hill, two of them, so I understand that being paid by the hour the owner has time invested (1 hour x 2) in their travel time.  Maybe that was my bad for not selecting someone in Rock Hill, but this company was recommended as being reasonable.  Anyway the two workers spent a total of 10 minutes under the house and did not find any leak.  I felt that $110 for 10 minutes work was a little extreme.....afterall, that's $660/hr....as much as I make take home in a week not an hour!  But the owner was a very nice gentleman and explained his overhead and how he had to pay the guys to come out.  I understand that, but I told him I would expect some credit if and when in the future I used him again.  I told him I would mention it the next time I scheduled service and he said that sounded like a fair deal.  So the final chapter is not yet written here.  I almost gave the rating a "3" rather than a "4" but felt that would negatively affect his total review score which is not my intent at all.

Did a good job with the fix once they showed up - but had THREE days with scheduled appointments and they never showed up and did not communicate the change in their schedule. There is clearly poor communication between the office and the plumbers - resulting in poor communication with their customers.

My washing machine drain was backing up for the second time in a year. I had a plumber come out the first time who used a drain snake and made an improvement, unfortunately the issue occurred again a year later. I attempted to clear the clog myself using a drain snake, however I wasn't able to get the drain cleared out. 

Giles Plumbing came to my house and was very professional and courteous. They were very thorough in diagnosing the issue and worked diligently to ensure the clog was fully cleared. They stayed to answer any additional questions I had and also provided some tips on how to maintain the drain to prevent future clogs. Their rates were extremely reasonable and I would highly recommend them.

Had a well Chlorinated and asked them to install a UV filter. Was given a quote and told them GO ahead and do it. Sean said he would order the parts. Called a week later and left message for Sean, have never heard back. Had to use another service.  JUST say NO if you don't want to do the job !

We had a (fifth) pipe burst and called our normal plumber who said they would send someone out later that day, but an hour before we expected them, a bad storm hit and they called to say they were calling all of their plumbers in and it would be noon the next day before they could come out. We were heading to vacation the next day so called Giles who sent Brian no more than 1 hour after we called. He was very polite, found and repaired the issue quickly and cleaned up before we knew it! Prices were reasonable, especially at the end of the day during a bad storm. Grateful and now have a new plumber!
