Thanksgiving buffet was wonderful. The restaurant was very busy so we were seated 30 minutes past our reservation,  but it was worth the wait. Once we were seated the service wad very good and attentive. The prime rib was outstanding! Their salad is very good as well.

Dec 1,2017-Worst birthday ever! Made reservations for 7:30pm only to get there and be told that the wait was 30-40 mins! The hostess stated that they had a big party going on which clearly was not our problem. If you knew you had a BIG party then why not be honest and let the caller know about the wait as opposed to letting us down in the lobby!
Also,the service was adequate at best. Waitress never introduced herself,waited too long for her to come back to us.
Honestly took a chance on Dyer after being longtime Merrillville customers but made a big,big mistake!

Went there for my birthday celebration. They were able to accommodate my party which was 15 people without any issues. We had plenty of room. The food was excellent, so worth the steak house price. I had the rack of lamb. It was prepared perfectly and tasted awesome! The service was also excellent. Definitely recommend this place for a dinner party or a quiet dinner for two.

I am not even sure what to say first.  My first impression walking in was that Pintrest puked here. WAY too much going on.  We were seated in a tall table (they asked if that was OK and we said sure) however my butt was literally 1' from the head of a lady at a short table.  VERY UNCOMFORTABLE and awkward. Since we were in a corner, there was little maneuvering to do to move farther away from her.  Once we were seated one older lady said she was our waitress and took our drink order...5 min later another lady came with some peppers and a little later our drinks and said she would be our waitress. At this point we were less than impressed and decided we were just doing drinks and appetizers. We ordered tasteless Spinach stuffed mushrooms.  Underwhelming.  Looking at the other menu items, they better have been MUCH better for the prices listed!  Prime rib at $42?!  Wondered if it was laced with gold.  Have no desire to go back.  Our bill for 3 drinks and one appetizer was $45.

I eat out daily and I have to say for this being a higher end restaurant in Indiana they are over looking small details that other Rest. Around here excel at.  The day I went the salt level in the food was high I even had someone at my table taste my salmon and potatoes and they also said that it was to much salt.  The last thing that did it for me my friends dish came with a salad and they put so much dressing that you couldn't even see the green in the salad they need to establish some checks and balances before the food makes it to the table..
Last thing was the temperature it's a little chilly if you sit all the way to the back would be the north side of the Rest... This could be 5 stars one day but need to look at the details...
