I get weather delays but come on...this is Texas. We don't get THAT much rain. 2+ years overdue on this project and no end in sight. This project was already well underway when my husband and I met. We are now 3.5 years and 2 kids into our marriage and HWY 78 is still a dangerous mess of a construction zone. I spotted a couple guys working on this dry, sunny day, but really, how much can 2 or 3 guys accomplish in one day? At this point, they should be working day in and day out to get this road DONE!

If I could give this company negative stars, I would.  We moved to Josephine in 2014 and it looked like 78 was nowhere near completion.  And now, in 2017, it looks nowhere near completion.  My husband and I can either spend an hour sitting in traffic or go 30 miles out of the way to avoid it.  I never see more than 3 or 4 people working on the road at any given time of day.  This company is a joke!

The state of Texas or the city of Wylie should impose massive daily fines to this company for each day they have gone over the construction deadline.  Most days they have very few workers on site on Hwy 78.  The city of Wylie has lost lots of my business due the travel difficulties on Hwy 78.  My shopping dollars are now going elsewhere.  Wylie or the State of Texas should light a fire under this company or bring in a different company to get the job done!

GTI has been "working" on Rt 78 in Lavon for several years and this 3 mile stretch is still not done, and wont be until at least october? Between obviously poor project planning, a woefully inadequate workforce and just plain old indifference to finishing the work, they have exhibited no ability to serve the public and do not deserve any future publicly funded work. The poor weather excuse is pathetic,... I drive 25 miles each way to work and have passed by many road projects the past two years and all of them have been finished, but not 78!

I could've built the road with a shovel, water hose, wheelbarrow and bags of quikcrete faster than this incapable contractor. Not sure who was, or is, in charge but it's beyond me how they keep their job. Grossly mismanaged project. Over 4 years (and counting) to complete ~ 3 mile stretch of road.
