Goal Post is a traditional Irish pub that’s proud to be Oak Lawn’s favorite spot after a long day at work.
The original Goal Post Pub was founded in 1896 in a rural town just north of Galway. In the mid 1970s a couple of Irish immigrants moved to Chicago to make a better life for themselves. They were hard workers, who missed the comforts of pub life after a long day’s work. With help from their community, and a blessing from the original pub, our founders built Goal Post to be a warm and welcoming taste of Ireland in Illinois. Whether you’re looking for a place to watch the game, or just want to socialize over a pint, we look forward to welcoming you in soon.
