Story

In Manhattan in 1965, there was no place where people could go out to meet friends and make new ones in an environment that was at once both relaxed and yet exciting. Then, Alan Stillman opened Fridays as a way, he said, “to meet Pan Am stewardesses.” Suddenly, there was a place with great food, new and exciting drinks and an electric energy. A place where bartenders mixed the environment just as well as they mixed drinks. In short, a place like nowhere else. Today, Fridays in Oak Lawn, IL is still America’s most iconic bar and grill. We embrace and celebrate our heritage as a bar. One that just happens to serve killer food in an environment where it’s always Friday.

I loved my waiter.  He did an excellent job of making sure we were happy 
 and happy with our meals.  The food was incredible.   I think TGI Fridays at this location must have had a bus boy and maintenance staff shortage. Tables throughout were left with stacks of dishes. There was a stack of dirty dishes left on the bar with napkins strewn about on the floor.  Napkins were on the floor throughout the restaurant.   Our dinner dishes were not removed until after we ate dessert.

Like many others have said, we were sitting for over 10 minutes before a server even came over. When she did, she didn't even ask if we wanted drinks, just asked if we were ready to order food. I told her that we would like to start with a round of waters for the table as my boyfriend was still deciding. ANOTHER 10 minutes later, we got our waters and, "you ready to order yet?" We ordered 2 salads and kids chicken tenders which took over 30 minutes. When the food was brought out, my boyfriend's order was wrong, and my order was completely forgotten. I mentioned I never got my salad and it was brought out relatively quickly...except it didn't have chicken on it like I had ordered. Took another 20 minutes for chicken. I was done with my salad by the time the chicken was brought out. My niece was asleep by the time we were able to track down our waitress for a box and our bill. I have been to the Orland Park location multiple times and have always had wonderful service. I will NEVER come back to the Oak Lawn location again.

I have came several times to this location to give another chance. Sadly every time I come here the experience does not get better. I went recently and it took 12 minutes to get acknowledge by our waiter! I asked for two waters and two soft drinks. It took him 10 minutes to bring us our drinks! The service here is slow and unacceptable. Management could careless about their customers, I suggest to go to the one by Midway because they have better service!

The waitress was really nice. Tgi needs to expand their menu. The potatoes skins were horrible. I should have taken a pic to show how horrible they looked. The wings were on point though as usual.

me and my girlfriend come here once a week every week and every waiter or waitress weve had at this location were awesome!!!!!! Dominique and lawrence are the greatest come in tk this tgis because its always friday in here
