The food and drinks were expertly crafted. The service was terrible. The waitress would not come to our table so we stood up and ordered at the bar and the bartender was kind, curteous, and knew his craft well. He served us quickly. Do not sit at the tables if you can avoid it. Sit at the bar. 

While we were waiting for drinks the waitress actually got upset that we were blocking her way and rudely said excuse me with such an attitude. There was a clear alternative route for her to take but she seemed to want to make it clear that we were really inconveniencing her. I tried to smile and stay out of her way but she was not friendly at all.

Gold dust is a great moody spot for a day drink on the weekend. The old Portland vibes and mid century building provide a great atmosphere. The food is solid and the drinks are reasonably priced

I used to love this place but the quality seems to have gone downhill in the last year. I was there a few months ago and the bacon in my grilled cheese wasn't even cooked. Couple that with consistently poor service and I've moved on.

Great service, the wait staff was like lightening delivering our beers. Tasty happy hour snacks, the green beans and brussel sprouts were great but the deviled egg portion was a bit puny.
