I worked out here as a guest and it is a nice clean gym. The environment is great IMO even in the morning. The staff helped me out with a cheap fee while I was in town. Lots of experienced guys lifting here so would be a good place to go to get advice if you're new to fitness.

They refuse to fix equipment in a timely manner. The locker room, restroom, and shower area is always filthy. You have to clean the toilets before you use them. They say that they are a 24 hour gym, they are not. The price of the membership constantly increases. Corporate is unresponsive to member concerns. I have been a member for almost ten years, each year the level of services have declined!

Golds could help their reputation and improve the member experience by getting aggressive with the repair and the upkeep of the equipment and facilities. Treadmills go down and stay down for weeks. The men's locker room has a very bad leak in the roof. Just last week we dressed with buckets strategically placed to catch rain water and stepped over puddling water. I reported a bolt missing from a bench seat, it took 3months to repair a 3 minute .25 cent fix. My fee has gone up twice in six months and my user experience is suffering major degradation. The health department would probably take issue to the roof leak , given the fact that it drips from the lights and could be a hazard and or liability. I am a land lord, when my tenant calls with an issue I address it immediately because they pay me for comfort and functionality at their residence. Golds needs to foster the same attitude. Remember Without us there will be no Golds. If you have to increase the fees every 6months justify it, manage, fix and address issues in a timely manner when we bring it to your attention. We are thinking Facebook may be a good place to air out some of the dirty laundry. Sometimes transparency is needed to be heard. The POOR upkeep is not an isolated incident, it seems to be part of the new Golds brand, the 153 location is as bad if not worse. We pay more money for membership and get less of a user experience? If we payed you the way you maintained your equipment and facilities, you'd have a problem with it!

Horrible place. Rude staff. Members aren't required to clean up after themselves or at least it's not regulated as the employees don't ever clean either. You never see employees cleaning ever like other gyms. The day care is gross and the door is disgusting when it could EASILY be cleaned then painted. Forget the daycare and your schedule be prepared to come and be put in the waiting list for the daycare you pay for. Don't worry it's just a little longer wait than a restaurant?? 30 mins? The gym itself stinks and the equipment is old and outdated they don't even grease any of them and they sound horrible. The employees are extremely rude after you purchase a membership they look past you as if they didn't just sell you their place yesterday. Do yourself the favor and look at Planet Fitness or the Hamilton YMCA both are just down the road if you'd like nice staff and cleanliness when working out. We watched several soaking wet in sweat members go from equipment to equipment and never wiping anything down and the employees never do either. You can come the next day and see the residue still there. I've seen trash by the equipment paper towels plastic water bottles days after it had been left there. I don't know about Tennessee but in Colorado the gyms are clean and the employees are up and moving not all at the desk chit chatting and never cleaning. Way too much money for how gross it is. Glad we were able to cancel.

Stopped by after work one night and had a few questions about a membership here. I was impressed with the level of service I received from Brian. I come from a background of service and appreciate the courtesy! Great Job, keep up the great work.
