Great gym, nice people, and good equipment. The only complaint I have is the lack of 2.5lb weights. Other than that, timing your arrival will determine if you're able to progress through your workout smoothly.

Equipment kept pretty clean. I had a couple of passes and I enjoyed my workout, but decided not to join just yet.

Personally I had an extremely discouraging and unprofessional experience with this gym. Potentially needing neck surgery and being on doctors orders not to lift, I joined for the benefits of the aquatic center which is advertised to include a hot tub, steam room, in-door pool and locker/shower area. They drafted my card on 4/5/17 then closed down the aquatic center on 4/8/17 for "unscheduled repairs" and it remained closed for the rest of April. After multiple phone calls inquiring about the facility and requesting at least a pro-rated credit, the gym manager, who's name was Joe, initially agreed to credit the entire month. I didn't go in May because after "partially renovating" the area, the hot tub was lukewarm and was overloaded with so many chemicals it would burn my eyes just walking past it. Additionally, the pool was the same temperature as the hot tub. On top of that, they hadn't fixed the steam room and it was still completely out of service. After reviewing my CC charges I noticed the April charge was never adjusted and when I called Joe told me he'd credited the month of May instead. Again, I didn't even go in May so he actually owed me for both April & May. On 6/3/17 I went in and cancelled in person as was required, only after being told that no further credits would be offered despite the steam room still being down "indefinitely" for "retiling" and "further maintenance". I was told my card would still be charged as scheduled on 6/5/17 even though I hadn't been in over two months. Joe said it was "per my contract" because I hadn't given a 30 day notice, which given the numerous complaints and his acknowledgement of them, was clearly more than the required notice. I explained the only breech of my contract was him not providing a completely functioning facility, which was advertised and quoted in my contract. I also informed him that due to his unprofessional and unacceptable answer, I'd be forced to dispute the charges. Then on 7/21/17 after having no further contact they charged my card again. I now have 3 open disputes and a stop payment hold against the company. I initially didn't want to waste my time writing this review, but it's only right that people be aware of what kind of company they're dealing with. I must add that the locker rooms were never cleaned and several times I found the staff hiding or hanging around in the shower area texting on their cell phones. Go in and run your hand along the top of the lockers where I'd hide my locker key while there. You'll be grossed out by the amount of insects and dust. I could say more but feel this should be enough for you to make a smarter decision about which gym you join.

The place is like a daycare with careless adults. leaving weights littered all over the floor, I spend more time navigating around weights so I don't roll an ankle, than I do actually working out. Also, I forget that I'm at a gym restroom, because the stalls make you think you're in a gas station restroom...

Military friendly? Negative. Prior employee friendly? Double negative. I submitted paperwork before leaving on orders to Ft. Leonard Wood to suspend my account until if, or when, I return. That lasted for about three months until I look at my account a year later to find they continued charging after a few months. I find this bogus on the premise that 1) I am no longer under contract and 2) I filled the proper paperwork. They have continued to charge my account while I was gone, and now that I'm trying to cancel my membership they want me to jump through hoops by going online to a website that hasn't been working for over two weeks. There is no phone number, they just want to redirect you to a non working section of the website. I assume they would sent me to collections if I forced my bank not to accept charges. I have found out recently from numerous other bad reviews that apparently to cancel you actually have to submit paperwork to their corporate office for consideration (?). I'm not even trying to get my money back, I am just tired of being charged by a gym I don't live near and that I submitted the proper paperwork to discontinue. The Rush was great, and furthermore a great place to work for. This place is garbage. If it was worth my time I would take them to small claims court. P.S. regrettably some very good staff members still work here from the Rush. This is not a reflection on them, but rather this archaic and serpentine business model they work off. TRUST THE REVIEWS, GO ELSEWHERE
